We’ve been very busy in the Why Not Monday Kitchen these past couple of weeks. Lay’s Belgium asked us if we wanted to help promote their limited edition Lay’s Oven Stars. Although we don’t eat chips on a regular basis, we did like the idea. Lay’s Oven chips are perfect to create fun and easy recipes for, they are less greasy than regular ones but are still crunchy.

This is how the idea behind “A Guide To A Starry Holiday” was born. The end of the year will be here before you know it but don’t worry. Why Not Monday and Lay’s Oven have put their heads together and collected 15 recipes and tips to help you prepare for a starry holiday. The result, a small booklet which will come in very handy when you are preparing for those dinner parties at the end of the year.

cheesedip3 The next couple of weeks we will share a new tutorial every Monday. All 15 recipes and tips are easy to follow, perfect for those who don’t cook regularly but still want to surprise their guest with some yummy finger food. If you want to get crafty this holiday, we have 3 starry DIY’s ready for you. From a minty pea dip to a creamy pumpkin soup. We even made little pizza’s from the Lay’s Oven Stars, ready in 10 minutes. This week we start with a warm cheesy dip, soft goat cheese with a bit of lime and chives to give it that extra punch.

Of course we want to see what you prepared for your guests, so make sure to share your creations on Instagram or Twitter by using #WNMfood & #LayStars. Just to be sure we see your photo, you can also mention us! (@whynotmonday) In a couple of weeks we will share our favorite photos, surprise us! Keep a close eye on Lay’s and WNM’s Facebook page to stay updated about future give-aways.

Looking forward to see you how you make your holiday starry. Don’t forget to serve it with some Lay’s Oven Stars, to add that finishing touch.
