The Lucky Fox in Sheffield is a must visit if you’re in the city. The menu has a selection of variations of their fried chicken speciality such as chicken burgers, chicken and chips, and the Lucky Fox’s famous chicken and waffles. An unlikely match made in heaven. If chicken isn’t your thing, they offer a great mac’ and cheese dish or haloumi burger amongst other alternatives. If you have any room for more Lucky Fox’s milkshakes are worth a try for those with a sweet tooth. The Lucky shake, an Instagram favourite, even has a whole donut on top.
Brunch at the Lucky Fox is also highly recommended. Although a limited selection, the few dishes on offer are all you need for a good brunch. The all-day menu includes giant French toast, the classic waffles or the breakfast fries.
The only downside to the Lucky Fox is it can only seat around 20 people at a time. Being situated on the popular and trendy Division street means there is usually a short wait for a seat especially on weekends. Going as a party of 2 or 3 is sensible if you don’t want to be waiting long or bookings are available on Fridays and Saturdays. Handily the Lucky Fox is also available on Deliveroo for those who don’t want to face the crowds.
The Lucky Fox is a highlight of Sheffield’s independent businesses and never fails to disappoint, even when they run out of the chicken pulled pork gravy.
